Casa Segura Drop In Center helped me after I hit rock bottom.  I got to the point where I needed help with basic needs.   I used the Casa Segura Center to shower, do laundry, eat a delicious hot meal and get some resources.  After two weeks of HEPPAC services to get me by, I was able to get emergency housing.    “Helped me find my dignity again”

OPEND program has helped me tremendously by providing the education about Narcan and how to reverse an accidental Opioid overdose.   I had to save my best from an overdose using the Nasal Naloxone.  To this day I always carry Narcan on me just in case. “One life saved and more to go”!

Syringe Exchange Site in East Oakland is one of the only places I can go and not feel judged for my drug use. I can have open discussion about how I use and they give me real life methods to inject safer and prevent Overdose.   Also encouraged me to get tested for HIV/HEP C

Mobile Outreach services at my encampment gave me hope and support in decreasing my drug use in the process of transitioning from living in my car to being placed in a SRO.   Bringing their supplies to my encampment and referring me to use their facility to take a shower and get something to eat helped me get back to work.   I finally got a par time job, got housing which allowed me to reconnect with my son.  “HEPPAC staff remind me of that cool responsible family member that holds your hand and holds you accountable”.
